Dan Toh
Dan started his career as a geeky coder back in the mid 90s. Within ashort span of 7 years he went on to become one of the youngest CTO in Singapore for an US-based enterprise consulting firm - Breakaway Solutions Inc. His went on to a regional role managing the software business for Sun Microsystem across countries in South East Asia such as Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri-Lanka and Bangladesh.
He then left enterprise IT to venture into various businesses from F&B to investment advisory over the next 15 years as both an entrepreneur and sometimes as an advisor. Whether it be startups or enterprises, his acute and deductive nose for challenges and opportunities helped many while gaining him exposure across different industries.
In a serendipitous twist of fate, the opportunity to pivot RunningStream into an unique tech-centric firm arose during the Covid-19 pandemic. Dan wasted little time to chart a new exciting new direction.

Purpose Before Profit
While our endeavors might seem rather varied, much of what we do is centered around delivery positivity to our society - whether it be re-engineering industries for greater transparency and accountability or inspiring morality or social responsibility through new startups.
Unfortunately, much ills such as addiction, narcissism, greed and all sorts of moral challenges were amplified by many modern technological wonders today. Innovations are often much more aligned to profits than good. We believe it doesn't have to be so, and hence are committed to champion ideas that dance to a different tune.

Coding for Equity (CFE) is our unique business proposition where compensation for our work can be in cash of in kind. By in kind we refer to equity or shared future revenue.
The rationale is simple really. If we believe in the cause of our customers, be they startups aiming to disrupt industries or enterprises aspiring a new business plan, then we should be ready to put our money where our mouth is at least in part. Or be up to wait for future revenue or funding. Its about having our skin in the game.
However, CFE is not for everyone and we respect that. Clients who are keen to pay us to get the job done are welcomed too.
